Ingredients:
8 slices light bread, torn into small pieces
1/4 cup skim milk
1 4-oz pkg blue cheese (or 4 oz. feta cheese)
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 pound ground round
1/3 pound reduced fat sausage
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
Makes about 80 meatballs.
Preheat the oven to 350.
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, mixing till all the ingredients come together.
Form mixture into about 1 - 1/2 inch balls.
Spray a large non-stick skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Brown meatballs on each side just for a few minutes till nicely browned (you will probably have to do this in several batches).
Once all the meatballs are browned, bake in the oven @ 350 for 25-30 minutes, till cooked through. Serve imediately. (They also freeze very well. I just put them in the oven frozen for 15 minutes or so and they taste as good as new.)
Calories per serving (5 meatballs): about 150
